Neowater, Superior Biological Environment
With Neowater technology you can.....

|
Ensure long-term therapeutic protein stability
Various studies have demonstrated that Neowater confers protein stability after exposure to elevated temperatures. β-Galactosidase, alkaline phosphatase, restriction enzymes, monoclonal antibodies and Taq polymerase are just some of the proteins that maintained their activity after exposure to elevated temperatures in Neowater. Furthermore, an evaluation study showed enhanced in-vitro binding activity at body temperature (37°C) of a commercial antibody when reconstituted with Neowater, a result that strongly suggests that Neowater will contribute to antibody activity under in-vivo conditions. The revolutionary nature of Neowater in mirroring intracellular water allows companies to accelerate and improve biological reactions with minimal customization, and enables in-vitro responses closer to those of living organisms

Encourage a higher transfection efficiency.
Many transfection methods suffer from high toxicity of transfection reagents which, among other things, cause cell mortality.
Studies showed that 24 hours post-transfection, Neowater reduced cytotoxicity while increasing transfection yield. Furthermore, an evaluation study showed transfection efficiency with a Neowater-based reagent exceeded the transfection efficiency of the original reagent by 67%. The possibility that the targeted cells will be exposed to transfection of DNA/siRNA solvated in a natural environment, with a reduced amount of toxic vehicle reagents, contributes to the cells’ viability.

Promote better stem cell proliferation
Interactions between stem cells and their local micro-environment are a critical part in stem-cell signaling for proliferation and differentiation.
Studies done with bone marrow Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) showed an enhanced stem-cell proliferation rate with Neowater-based media within 5 days of implantation. The highly stable and unique composition of Neowater enables stable aqueous micro-environments that induce a preferable in-vivo-like environment for better cell signaling and growth.

Improve growth, secretion and clonability of biotherapeutics
In addition to Neowater's properties, which support biochemical processes, Do-Coop has demonstrated in various studies that Neowater can enhance hybridoma formation, cell proliferation, clonability and secretion of biotherapeutics. Furthermore, the results brought to the hypothesis that Neowater's highly stable and unique composition serves to minimize the free energy within the bulk aqueous environment, and at the same time effectively creates stable micro-environments, based on the huge surface created by the nanoparticles that support the cell environment by mimicking the physical and chemical properties of intracellular water.

Enhance post-cryopreservation cell viability
Neowater's stability is unaffected by handling. It can be boiled, autoclaved, sheared, filtered and frozen - making Neowater ideal for cell cryopreservation. Studies done to assess the effect of Neowater on freezing and thawing of cells, using a reduced concentration of DMSO, indicated a favorable effect on cell viability following freezing at -80°C. By reducing the need for DMSO in the cryopreservation solution, Neowater can help in reducing its destructive effects on the final stem-cell implants’ survival. With Neowater, a new, less toxic cryopreservation formulation can be developed.
